The first of five brackets that make up the annual Mingo Bay Classic baseball tournament began Monday, April 4 and runs through Friday, April 8. Socastee is the only Grand Strand team competing in this week’s event.
The remaining tournaments in the Mingo Bay will be held April 18-22 with St. James, Georgetown, Waccamaw, Carolina Forest, North Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach, Conway, Loris, Socastee and Aynor all serving as host sites and Andrews also competing in the tournament that features teams from around the Carolinas and the Northeast.
