There wasn't any doubt in Delano Walters' mind that Socastee's best player would be ready for tonight's game against Hartsville.
Hunter Renfrow, the team's quarterback, turned an ankle last week in a first-round playoff win over Hilton Head. Walters went on to have a monster game, but against the Red Foxes, the Braves will need every available weapon, including their most valuable one.
"When he went out last week, I said ‘He’ll be back this Friday,'" Walters said. "I knew he’d be OK."
That said, Hartsville's defense - one allowing a state-best 5.1 points per game this season - is going to put the Braves to a test unlike any other they've seen this season.
