Steel-Town Shootout, Sand & Hoops tournament schedules

A pair of local basketball tournaments in the coming week will help tip off the 2014 season.

Eight boys teams will take part in Georgetown High's Steel-Town Shootout starting on Monday, followed Monday by the eight team Socastee girls Sand & Hoops Invitational.

Several teams will also be playing in out-of-area tournaments, but here are the schedules for the two taking place on the Grand Strand.

Friday, November 21st

Game 1 5:30 p.m. Waccamaw vs. Summerville

Game 2 7:00p.m. Andrews vs. CE Murray

Game 3 8:30p.m. Georgetown vs. Johnsonville

Saturday, November 22nd

Game 4 5:00 p.m. Loser GM 2 vs. Loser GM 3

Game 5 6:30 p.m. Carvers Bay vs. Crestwood

Game 6 8:00 p.m. Winner GM 2 vs. Winner GM 3

Monday, November 24th

Game 7 6:00 p.m. Loser GM 1 vs. Loser GM 5

Game 8 7:30 p.m. Winner GM 1 vs. Winner GM 5

Tuesday, November 25th

Game 9 6:00 p.m. Loser GM 6 vs. Loser GM 8 (3rdPlace)

Games 10 7:30 p.m. Winner GM 6 vs. Winner GM 8 (Championship)

Monday, Nov. 25

Bracket 1:

5 p.m. - Carolina Forest vs. Georgetown

6:45 p.m. - St. James vs. Mullins

Bracket 2:

6:45 p.m. - Carvers Bay vs. Waccamaw (auxillary gym)

8:15 p.m. - Socastee vs. Loris

Tuesday, Nov. 25th

Winners within a bracket and Losers within a bracket will face each other.

Time slots to be determined. (Depending on travel situations)

Wednesday, Nov. 26

All teams play and Tuesday's winning teams face each other while losing teams do the same

Championship Game will be played at 3:15
