Hard Rock Park received 1,100 job applications today, the first day the park's new owners were accepting applications from the general public, according to park spokeswoman Erin Barrett.
The park, which previously was accepting applications only from former employees, had already received 1,000 applications from the former employees prior to today. The park, which was purchased out of bankruptcy in February by FPI MB Entertainment, is looking to hire between 750 and 1,000 employees.
The new owners say they want to open the park by the end of May.
I Heard on the news that the name Hard Rock Park is not settled and negotiations are still going on. Also, the park executives are hoping to open on Memorial Day but it is not a done deal. All jobs are still open, none has been picked. Could it be the park cannot come up with an idenity before the end of May? Just more excuses for what looks like another boon doggle.

They have much less invested and with a lot of luck will make it work. I wish them the best- the purchase price was low and they are paying slave wages with zero bennies so maybe they stand a chance. With the HRP name, even with no licensing fees, they will need luck.
