Myrtle Beach got a shout-out in Senate chambers in Washington on Wednesday as Chad Prosser, the head of the S.C. Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism, joined other tourism leaders in testifying before the Senate's commerce committee.
"With hotel rates reduced by as much as 40 percent in Myrtle Beach, Charleston and Hilton Head Island, there's never been a better time to travel," Prosser said.
